A lot has happened, though, since my last post.  I remember commenting somewhere about the gold price being high and staying high and that it is a sign of bad things to come.  Well I was right.  Unfortunately.  I have been right quite a lot, recently.  And although it is good for my selfconfidence,  it does not make me happy.

I recently sold a huge chunk of my shares.  My wife queried me about it.  And I said I have made a good profit, I am going to make that a real profit.  Somebody said nobody ever went bancrupt by taking profits.  For the next couple of days I looked like the fool.  But not anymore.

I am going to do a series about how I see the world in Aug 2011.  And I hope I get a lot of response.

Perhaps I should bring you up to speed on my own life since we last spoke.  My eldest daughter got married, I had a knee op, it was a financially very bad year with a lot of stuff breaking that had to be replaced and my shortterm insurance business just keeping ground. 

But at least I hung on to what I have.

So, soon I will share my thoughts on the world in Aug 2011.
